Today’s post is short and sweet, just like me!:
Breathe. Be still. Rest. Be still and know. Breathe in the interstitial spaces, even and especially when you don’t know how to be there. In breath, you find life. In each breath, you find more of Me.
Resources… Because we know how to breathe, but how do we breathe?!
One. If you wanna fast track to how to the deep breathing exercise, check out this 4-7-8 deep breathing guided meditation. It’s simple: inhale for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 4 seconds, and veeery slowly exhale for 8 seconds. To quote the ineffable Lauryn Hill, “It could all be so simple, but you’d rather make it hard.” Breathing intentionally returns us to simplicity. It’s great at helping you relax, and is a miracle worker at helping me and my clients fall asleep fast!
Two. If you want to dive deeper, watch the TedTalk, Breathe to Heal with Max Strom. “Some doors open on the inside. Breathe is a way of accessing that door.”
Three. What’s that you said? You want a story time about 4-7-8? No problem! Ask and it shall be given, my love! Check out The Raw Truth of Alcohol Withdrawal: A Detox Nurse’s Perspective.
