I became a registered nurse to serve Black women like myself—those forced to play and be small in the margins because of race, weight, neurodiversity, age, class, education, or immigration. That same calling guides my work today, centering women who are regularly overlooked, overworked, underpaid, undervalued, and equipping them to reclaim their power, their health, their joy and their lives. My research centers Black women, but my work welcomes all women. Let’s meet in the middle—where there’s more room, more freedom, and more fun.
