Surrendering To His Love: The Power of Being Still

Be still and know that I am God.

Psalm 46:10 (click link to read other translations)

To come to stillness requires trust– Will all that I’m working on stay upright if I let go of them temporarily to cling tight to God? To be still with Him? To know Him? To love Him, and to let Him love me, too?

Do I trust God to be God?

Someone recently said she’s recovering from being her own God. Same girl, saaame!!! In this season, I’m being called to slow aaaaall the way down, so this final question is deafeningly loud: Do I really and truly trust God to be God? I do in my head, but how do I get my actions and behavior to align?

That’s it. That’s the post.

P.S. Trusting in God’s Truth

As I shared in Divine Truth, Trust, and Faith: How to Know Truth Before You See It, trusting in God’s truth even before it fully reveals itself anchors us in His love and wisdom. This season of surrender and stillness echoes that same call—to trust deeply, rest in His presence, and let His truth guide us, even when the path isn’t yet clear. The journey of faith is about knowing in our hearts what our eyes have yet to see. It’s about trusting the next step will appear before we take it. Always has, always will. Faith is, after all, about not knowing but also knowing and believing. As I’ve heard echoed in my Caribbean consulate of a home too many times to count: What a thing this is fi me!
