God tells us what to think about and the very thing that we will find. So, if you want the good thing, think about it. And if you want the good thing, ask for it. But you have to “come boldly to the throne of grace.” You have to come boldly and ask.
Asking questions takes courage. Asking questions says, “Hey, I don’t know something.” Or asking questions says, “I know I don’t know, but I know You know, and I bet You’re about to tell me!” Asking questions is not for the faint of heart. Asking questions is for those who know that they are worthy of more. Asking questions is not about what I do not have, but asking questions is about getting what I know I want and need to live the life that I know and want to lead. The life I am worthy of!
So, will you ask for what you want? Will you dare to dream? Will you even allow yourself to dare to dream about the very thing that you want? Because what you want is good, because what you want is noble, because what you want is courageous, because what you want is righteous, because what you want is holy. Will you allow yourself? Will I allow myself??
So, I’ve been asking for things, and yet now, in this moment, I think, but am I worthy of it? I’ve been asking for things. I know that I am worthy of it, but do I know in the depths of my being? Do I know in my heart of hearts? Do I know in my secret place? Do I know in my innermost part that I am worthy of every single thing that I have been courageous and bold enough to ask for?
Will I…? Am I…? What else do I need to do? What else do I need to know? What else do I need to be? What else do I need to earn? What else do I need to wear? What else do I need to drive? What else do I need—not want, but what else do I need! What else do I need to know that in all of the interstitial spaces that exist within me, in all of the nooks and crannies, in the space between the space,
I know that I’m worthy.
