Transform My Life By Faith: Embracing God’s Perfect Timing
Sat, Nov 30, 2024 9:10p
God,
I’m oh so grateful for this here day. This weekend. This Thanksgiving. This life! And dare I even say, for the drop of toilet water that splashed onto my eye while cleaning the toilet. Ha!
What a day this has been—from chaotic in my mind to peaceful and soothing in my spirit.
Thank You, God, for writing that slows me down, that connects me with You. For a call with a friend, a two-way prayer fellow. For the fresh scent of candles. The staccato of my TENS unit. The ease and peace permeating my home.
Thank You, God, for returning me to me! Thank You for You in me. Thank You for grace and self-forgiveness and divinity personified.
Thank You for delicious leftovers, nutritious foods. Thank You for 12-step programs and inventories. Thank You for my next personal money management meeting– several months after the first and yet precisely and divinely on time.
Thank You that I can see and distinguish our timings, at times. That I can see mine and honor Yours and vice versa. Thank You that ALL THINGS happen on Your time.
Thank You for PhD work—not in the classroom of academia, but in the classroom of life.
Thank You for removing my blocks. For working deeply and gently within me. Thank You for this life You’ve given me and this one that we’re co-creating.
Thank You that it’s all here now. That I can see that Your good is here. It’s just around the corner. That it’s coming, it’s here.
Thank You for an abundance of love, grace, goodness, and mercy.
When I listen, God speaks to my innermost being, to my interstitial spaces. When I obey and act by faith, God moves big and bold on my behalf. This is the law and God’s promise that is prayer. It is already done. God already did it for me! Selah—sacred pause. It is already so. Amen.
