Surrender to Rest

My Prayer to God
God,
Thank You for friends. For community. For Tamika, who just joined her first two-way prayer meeting!
I’m exhausted, drained. Physically in my body and also in my mind. My spirit is willing, but my flesh? My flesh is hanging on.
What would You have me know of this day? In this moment? How can I negotiate my nurse pay rate? Which job is next for me?
God’s Response to Me
My child,
Don’t dilly or dally or stay up to watch over your friend in this meeting. Your friend is My child, so trust Me!
You have not because you ask not. You have because you have asked, because you’ve worked.
Faith allowed you to ask. Work and action allowed you to have, to be, to do. Do, be, and have all you’ve ever dared ask Me for!
Ask for more, and you’ll receive more. Be faithful with little, and you’ll receive much. Have the faith to ask. The courage to do the work. The peace and the joy to be. To be with and without.
Research negotiations for nurses. You’ve done this before. Do it again. Use ChatGPT. Use AI. Use people. Use resources. And send your updated resume to L. Follow-through is doing the work, it’s faith and work meeting together.
Rest now, My child.
Come to Me, all who are weary and carrying heavy-burdened, and I will give you rest.

Rest in Me. Trust Me. Lean on Me. Understand Me. Love Me. Know Me.
And all of the things that I want for you to know of Me and do with Me. I want for you to know and do with yourself, too.
