Two Way Prayer

My Prayer to God

God,

There’s fear. So much fear! My heart quickens as I even begin to think about what makes me afraid.

But how can I be afraid when You are with me? Inside me? You are closer to me than the air I breathe, the heart beat in my body, the whisper of the wind on the ocean’s waves.

Fear and faith can’t co-exist, so I am grateful that when I address my fears, when I do the countercultural thing, when I do the very thing You are calling me to, I know I am living in faith and letting go of fear.

Some time ago I wrote:

And it is. It’s letting go and letting God God. Letting me be human and letting You show me exceedingly and abundantly more than I could ever ask or think.

And so today, I am grateful. Today, I am prayerful. Today I am courageous and bold and unafraid to go into the unknown because I know You are there, awaiting me with grace. Awaiting to reward me for my faithfulness. For my obedience.

Today, oh God, I surrender all. All my fears. All my money concerns. I trust that You, Jehovah Jireh are in fact, in Spirit and in Truth, my divine provider. You do for me what I can’t do for myself. You do in me what I can do for myself, and You do for me what I can’t.

Will I earn enough money to live? To pay off my student loan debt? To retire? To leave a financial legacy of wealth for my nephew and others coming up behind me?

Will I?!!??! I KNOW I WILL!

I don’t know how, oh God, but Holy Spirit, I trust you. I Trust You!

God’s Response to Me

My dear child, loving and so sweet,

I told you I will never leave you nor forsake you. I am with you to the end. Your earthly end is your eternal beginning.

You have experienced heaven on earth and you will continue to the more bold and courageous you are.

This is how I made you. This is who I made you. This– bold and courageous!– is your answered prayer.

And your prayers of long ago, I heard them then and I am answering them now. I am answering in new ways. Divine ways. Holy ways. Enlightened ways.

They are your prayers of old but your time and My time are not the same.

I speak with you in a way you can understand. Lean not on your understanding and My own.

Take the trip. Go on the travel sabbatical and watch in awe, wonder, and delight as I make your crooked path straight. Watch as your S-shaped life becomes an even more direct path to Me.

I am the way, the truth, and the light.

Walk My way, My love. Seek and find My truth, My dear. See and be the light. Be warmed by it and warm others by it by your being.

You are enough. For you in Me is more than enough.

You have enough love. You have enough money. You have enough time.
You are love. You are money. You are time.

Take time, holy time. Taste and see. Watch in awe. And continue to believe in Mark 24:11– what you have prayed for you will receive. Not in your time, but in My divine opportune time.

When I listen, God speaks to me. When I obey, God moves big, bold, and mightily on my behalf. This is favor, this is due to me. This is God’s law and promise that is prayer. And so it is. It is done. It is well. It is already so very well done. Amen.

✨ Coming Home to God in the Fear

After writing this, I knew I couldn’t move on without naming what I was actually afraid of.
The next post, “How to Name the Fear and Surrender the Outcome,” is a two-way prayer—where I brought it all to God and He met me with love, truth, and clarity. It’s tender. It’s holy. And it’s already answered.
