When You’re On the Edge of Abundance: Faith in the Final Stretch

I’ve been seeing signs lately. 444. 111. 1010. They show up everywhere, and it’s not so much that I feel a connection to the numbers themselves, but the meanings behind them—that speaks to me. These numbers keep showing up like a quiet nudge from the universe, reminding me that God is guiding me, that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. But, if that’s true, why does life feel so hard?
And this is a big question. It’s not like I’m asking for life to be easy. I don’t even want it to be easy. I just had a dream, and it hit me that God didn’t create us for an easy life. He didn’t come so that things would be simple or painless. No, He came so we could live an abundant life. But sometimes, abundance feels so far off. It feels unreachable—like I’m striving, and stretching, and I can’t touch it.
I want to touch abundance like I would touch the hem of Jesus’s garment. Just a touch. That’s all. That’s what the woman in the Bible did—she didn’t need to grab onto Him fully. She didn’t need everything to change in an instant. All she needed was to reach out by faith and simply touch the hem of His garment. And that one act of faith changed everything for her. That’s how I want to feel when I reach for abundance. I don’t need to see it all at once—I want to trust that a touch, a moment of faith, will bring it closer.
But here’s the thing: why does abundance feel so hard to get to? To reach? To achieve? I’m not looking for an easy road, but I want to know why the path feels like it’s full of hurdles sometimes. It feels like abundance is there, but it’s behind this wall I can’t quite break through. It’s hard to touch it.
I know God promises abundance. I believe that. I’ve seen it in glimpses. But that doesn’t stop the days where it feels distant, like I’m waiting on it but it’s not coming. And I know abundance isn’t always material things. It’s not always success or prosperity. It’s peace. It’s joy. It’s wholeness. It’s oneness. But even then, some days it feels hard to grab onto. I just want to touch it, just like that woman who touched the hem of Jesus’s garment.
Her faith—just that small touch—was enough. It was enough to change everything. And that’s where I’m trying to rest. To know that even when life is challenging, even when the road to abundance feels long and uncertain, God is still present. He’s still guiding me. He’s still working, even when I can’t see it.
I don’t need to hold onto everything at once. I just need a touch. That’s more than enough. The woman didn’t need to grab Jesus fully to be healed, and I don’t need to fully grasp the whole picture of abundance to know that God is working for my good. It’s faith that draws me closer, and in those moments where life feels the hardest, I remember that it’s often through struggle and trial and tribulation and challenge that abundance is revealed.
Life can be challenging, but God didn’t call me to an easy life. He called me to an abundant one. And even when it feels like abundance is just out of reach, I trust that with each step forward, with each small act of faith, with each breath, I’m closer to it. Just a touch of His garment is enough. More than enough. And more is coming. More is already here.

When I started this post, I was in the streeetch. I could feel abundance near—but I couldn’t quite touch it. I was guiding and encouraging others while quietly asking God, “How can I do this when I don’t feel fully aligned myself?”
And yet, even in that ache, I kept reaching. I kept writing. I kept walking in faith.
Now, I feel more aligned than ever before. That shift didn’t happen overnight—it came through tears, stillness, small beginnings, and of course, grace. And I want you to know: if you’re still in the stretch, still waiting to touch what you believe is already yours, that doesn’t disqualify you. It qualifies you.
So if you’re unclear how to move forward, I offer you this: listen to that still, small voice within you yearning to be heard. The one you’re often taught or told to ignore. Listen to the voice within that speaks at a whisper, hoping you’ll hear it. The one you can only hear when you’re still. When you’re silent. Listen to that voice because that voice is one of truth. That voice is leading you to freedom, to liberation. To love. How do I know?
You’re Not Behind—You’re Becoming
You don’t have to chase abundance—it’s reaching for you, too. If this post speaks to where you are, please know this: even the smallest act of faith can open the door to everything God has already promised.
